Being a Christian sometimes can feel awkward, heavy, discouraging, and often so tough as you watch so many people around you go through days and days with absolutely no concern about God and everything that goes with His Name and teachings. How does one find strength to continue on the path that God chose for you? After all, you are just making your first steps in the world. How does a young individual resist the temptation of the world, resist ignoring God and go with the flow? After all, they are all ignoring God, the church teachings and nothing happens to them.
Well, may I offer a little assistance, a guide to resist temptation and ignore God and His chosen path for you. Read the lives of the Saints and those blessed as well. If you go through the calendar of this website and read the story of any saint, you will find out how not to be discouraged in this world. You will find the strength to remain focus on your journey toward Our Father, because actually, this is where all of us are heading regardless of our conduct on this earth–ignorant or believer. If you have fallen victims of this world’s teachings, pick up yourself and seek assistance. The danger is to remain in that situation you are in, as you will find yourself moving away from God slowly to wake up one day so far away that you will convince yourself that it is impossible to get back on track. It is never too late to get back to your Father; read the prodigal son story (luke 15:11-32) .
Life is full of tribulations and you will meet “negative-thinking” people; remain focus on God and all shall be well. If you wish to talk to someone, please call any of our numbers (267) 338-5178 & 267-333-8172 at any time and/or complete a contact form; someone will contact you immediately. You can also attend one of the evening prayers by phone or in person; see the calendar for dates and times. Thank you.

Welcome to all Young Christians!
Who are the Young Christians? Individuals who have not reached their 30th birthday and/or not married. This group will be divided by age category or by school grades. Activities for each group will be developed to help the to network among each other and, hopefully, join other young groups in the City of Philadelphia and other states.
We are open to all young people who desire to learn about the catholic faith and to grow in it. You do not have to be catholic to participate but we ask that you respect the catholic faith when participating in our events; i.e., attire, music, spoken words, and behavior.
Our vision for the Young Christians is as follows:
- understand and deepen the catholic faith;
- facilitate a source of information about the faith;
- encourage them to ask any questions;
- take on a vital role in the operation of the church and the community;
- understand the role of Mary in the church and
- develop an intimate relationship with Jesus.
Many activities will happen during the year to assist each individual to walk that path, in reaching out to more experienced and better trained individuals, both clergy and non-clergy, to help with becoming a more active catholic person.
We encourage a sense of community and a sense of support among our participants. Please also let us know what you would like to see here. May God bless you all. Thank you.
